Growth plan for Caitlyn Minimalist, 2 Oct 2026
Scale spend. Hold CAC.
Caitlyn Minimalist sells $29.00 earrings and rings that a first-time buyer can say yes to fast. The plan protects one number, a target CAC of $15.84, then buys creative volume until spend scales without breaking it.

- Target CAC
- $15.84
- New ads a week at peak
- 20
- Creators live by week six

10 chapters, then the gates and every number’s source.
01 The number
$15.84 is the one CAC to protect on a $33 average order
The number is target CAC: $15.84. It is 0.6 of a $26.40 ceiling, built from a $33 average order, 40% margin and one repeat order. Rings from $29.00 leave room, but only if I hold spend to that line every day.
Protect
Target CAC: $15.84 on a first purchase
Ceiling = average order × margin × (1 + repeat orders): $33 × 40% × (1 + 1) = $26.40. Guard line = 0.6 × $26.40 = $15.84. Across the ranges: $6.30 to $478.44.
Three moves
- Kill any ad whose CAC sits above $15.84 once its test budget is spent.
- Move spend toward creator hooks that win, changing one variable per test.
- Report daily CAC so any drift above the guard line shows up the same day.

02 Variety
250 variants on one ring means the ads need many angles
Each concept has to carry one reason to buy for one product: a Toi et Moi pairing as a gift, a birthstone choice made personal, or a $29.00 earring as an easy first order. One concept, one reason, one variable changed per test.
| Reason to buy | Proof you already have | Ads (proposed) |
|---|---|---|
| Always free shipping | Always Free Shipping | 6 |
| Stack it, gift it, live in it | Stack it, gift it, live in it. | 6 |
| A 90-day warranty | 90-day Warranty | 2 |
| Reviews behind the pieces | Based on 76,634 reviews | 1 |
| Handcrafted to order | Custom Made to Order: handcrafted and ships within 6 - 9 business days | 1 |
| Easy returns | We gladly accept returns for new and unworn items within 14 days of delivery. | 1 |
| Fall sitewide offer | 25% Off Sitewide | 1 |
| Total | The ad concepts tab | 18 |

Each row is a reason to buy that the brand already has proof for. The count is how many of the ads carry it: a reason with a single ad is a bet, not a pattern, and the next batch of concepts moves toward the reasons that win.
03 Disturbances
A 25% Off Sitewide banner can hide a CAC problem
| Disturbance | Likelihood | Impact | Owner | Gate (proposed) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A 25% Off Sitewide offer with exclusions confuses buyers and weakens ad claims | High | Med | Your team | Claims sheet with exact offer wording approved before the first ads go live |
| 250 variants on Toi et Moi rings slow the choice and stall the first order | Med | High | Both | If a landing page converts below the best page after two test weeks, simplify its picker |
| Store credit minus a $6 fee on returns makes buyers hesitate over ring sizes | Med | Med | Your team | If size questions fill creator comments, add sizing guidance to the ad and page |
| Delivery runs from 1 - 2 to 6-9 business days, which can break gift timing | Med | Med | Your team | Gift ads pause unless the page states a delivery promise the store can keep |
| Creator output stalls before 10 are live by week six | Med | High | Me | Creators live trail the weekly plan by two or more at any check: recruit that week |
| Tests settle above $15.84 CAC and payback never arrives | Med | High | Me | Stop any concept still above $15.84 CAC after its $250 test budget |
| Review counts of 76,634 and 3 on different pages erode trust on landing pages | Low | Med | Both | Each landing page shows a review count tied to its product, confirmed before launch |
Scores are my read from outside the company, re-scored in week one with your data. Each risk has one owner and one gate that can be checked with a number, so nobody has to argue about whether it happened.
04 The ceiling
$26.40 is the most one order can afford to cost
| Line | Value | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Average order | $33 (range $12.00–$354.40) | Assumption Range from the site product prices (Published); the midpoint is a guess |
| Gross margin | 40% (range 35–45%) | Assumption Replace in week one |
| Repeat orders after the first | 1 (range 0.5–2) | Assumption Replace with cohort data in week one |
| Margin per customer, all orders | $26.40 | Calculated Average order × margin × (1 + repeat orders) |
| Guard line for CAC | $15.84 | Calculated 0.6 × the margin per customer |
The math, with the assumed lines
Ceiling = average order × margin × (1 + repeat orders): $33 × 40% × (1 + 1) = $26.40. Guard line = 0.6 × $26.40 = $15.84. Across the ranges: $6.30 to $478.44.
Range across the assumptions: $6 to $478.
The $26.40 ceiling is a calculation on a $33 average order, 40% margin and one repeat order. All three inputs are guesses until week one replaces them with your real order data.
The ceiling is a range, not one number: the most a new customer can cost before shipping and packaging, which I do not have. Replace the guessed lines with yours and every figure below recalculates.
05 Test ramp
$24,000 of tests over six weeks, 12 to 20 new ads a week
| Week | New ads × budget / ad (proposed) | Weekly test spend | Cumulative | Creators posting | CAC target (proposed) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 12 × $250 | $3,000 | $3,000 | 0 | $16 |
| 2 | 12 × $250 | $3,000 | $6,000 | 2 | $16 |
| 3 | 12–20 × $250 | $4,000 | $10,000 | 4 | $16 |
| 4 | 12–20 × $250 | $4,000 | $14,000 | 6 | $16 |
| 5 | 20 × $250 | $5,000 | $19,000 | 8 | $16 |
| 6 | 20 × $250 | $5,000 | $24,000 | 10 | $16 |
Six weeks, each ad tested at $250. Weeks 1 and 2 run 12 ads for $3,000 each. Weeks 3 and 4 run 12–20 ads for $4,000 each. Weeks 5 and 6 run 20 ads for $5,000 each. Total $24,000 of tests, all Proposed.
The math. Week 1: 12 × $250 = $3,000; Week 2: 12 × $250 = $3,000; Week 3: 16 × $250 = $4,000; Week 4: 16 × $250 = $4,000; Week 5: 20 × $250 = $5,000; Week 6: 20 × $250 = $5,000. Total $24,000 (96 ads × $250). A range such as 12–20 counts as its midpoint.
Weeks one and two test what the brand already has, rewritten per reason to buy. From week three, creator videos enter paid only after they beat their own account median. A range of new ads counts as its midpoint in the spend column.
06 Volume
From 20 to 80 concepts, more winners add more monthly spend
Creative volume lowers CAC because more concepts find more winners: 20 concepts give 2 winners, 80 give 8. Hit rate and spend per winner are assumptions, so week one starts replacing them with your data.
| Concepts tested / month | Hit rate (assumed) | New winners / month | Spend each winner holds (assumed) | Added spend at target CAC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20 | 10% | 2 | $300 / day | $18,000 / month |
| 40 | 10% | 4 | $300 / day | $36,000 / month |
| 60 | 10% | 6 | $300 / day | $54,000 / month |
| 80 | 10% | 8 | $300 / day | $72,000 / month |
The math. 20 concepts × 10% = 2 winners × $300 × 30 days = $18,000 a month; 40 concepts × 10% = 4 winners × $300 × 30 days = $36,000 a month; 60 concepts × 10% = 6 winners × $300 × 30 days = $54,000 a month; 80 concepts × 10% = 8 winners × $300 × 30 days = $72,000 a month.
The hit rate and the spend each winner holds are placeholders. The first thirty days of tests replace them with real numbers, and the table is recalculated the same day.
07 Allocation
$100,000 goes first to tests, then to winners
- Concept tests on rings, earrings and Toi et Moi pairs
- $45,000
- 45%
- Scaling winning concepts at the $15.84 guard line
- $30,000
- 30%
- Creator pay and product seeding
- $15,000
- 15%
- Landing page builds and retests
- $10,000
- 10%
The $100,000 budget is Proposed; the split moves toward scaling winners as soon as the tests find them.
The math. 45% × $100,000 = $45,000; 30% × $100,000 = $30,000; 15% × $100,000 = $15,000; 10% × $100,000 = $10,000. Sum 100% = $100,000.
This split is a proposal. It moves toward scaling as winners prove out, and toward testing when fatigue shows.
08 Channels
Meta first, because rings and Toi et Moi pairs sell on sight
| Channel | Open when (proposed) | Why wait |
|---|---|---|
| Meta | Week 1, as the first channel to open | Creator video and static tests for rings and pairs, read against the $15.84 CAC line |
| TikTok | When two creator concepts clear the guard line on Meta | Stacking and gifting videos suit the format; same hooks, native cuts |
| After the Toi et Moi landing pages are live | Gift and ring-stack ideas get saved there; I would test it, not assume it | |
| Google Shopping | Once the product feed and events are checked with your team | Catches buyers searching for a birthstone ring by name |
| After the first purchases are tracked cleanly | Repeat orders carry the ceiling: $26.40 assumes one repeat order |
A channel opens when its condition is true, not when the calendar says so. Until then the budget stays where the CAC is earned.
09 Payback
At $30 CAC a $33 order never pays back, so we stop
Payback is the real constraint. At a CAC of $10 the first order pays back with $16.40 left. At $15 it needs repeat orders, leaving $11.40. At $30 it never pays back, down $3.60, and at $35 down $8.60. So we stop.
Cumulative margin per customer, order by order, before CAC: $13.20, $26.40.
| CAC (scenario) | First-order margin | Year-one margin | Left after CAC | Payback |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $10 | $13.20 | $26.40 | $16.40 | First order |
| $15 | $13.20 | $26.40 | $11.40 | After repeat orders |
| $30 | $13.20 | $26.40 | −$3.60 | Never: stop |
| $35 | $13.20 | $26.40 | −$8.60 | Never: stop |
The math. CAC $10: $26.40 − $10 = $16.40 left; pays back: First order; CAC $15: $26.40 − $15 = $11.40 left; pays back: After repeat orders; CAC $30: $26.40 − $30 = −$3.60 left; pays back: Never: stop; CAC $35: $26.40 − $35 = −$8.60 left; pays back: Never: stop.
Read each row left to right: the margin of the first purchase, the margin over the whole horizon, what is left after CAC, and the purchase on which the CAC is earned back. A scenario that never pays back is a stop, not a test.
10 Scope
I run creative and spend; your team owns events and fulfilment
Covers
- Creative strategy and the hook library for rings, earrings and pairs
- Meta ad testing, kill and scale calls, daily CAC reporting
- Creator sourcing, briefs and the weekly video pipeline
- Landing page briefs for Toi et Moi pairs and birthstone pieces
Doesn’t
- Event tracking build: I spec it, your team implements it
- Product photography and new jewelry design
- Fulfilment, returns and customer service
- Anything I have not seen: your ad account and your numbers
What this plan covers is what I can change inside the ad account and the creator program. Everything outside it is named on the right so nobody assumes it is handled.
Gates, written before spend, so stopping isn’t a negotiation.
| Day | Keep going if (proposed) | Stop or change if |
|---|---|---|
| Day 14 | Creators live match the plan and at least one concept sits at or below $15.84 CAC | No concept near $15.84 CAC after two test weeks |
| Day 30 | Winners found and spend scaling while blended CAC holds at $15.84 | CAC above $26.40 for a full week |
| Day 60 | Cohort payback reads true against the $26.40 ceiling and repeat orders are landing | No repeat orders and CAC still above $15.84 |
| Day 90 | Spend has scaled toward the $100,000 budget with CAC at or below $15.84 | CAC above $26.40 after scaling |
Each gate is checked on its day with the numbers in the daily and weekly reports. If the stop condition is true, the spend stops and nothing renews until we talk.
What exists, what’s missing, and the order that’s forced.
| Piece | Exists today | Missing | Forced order |
|---|---|---|---|
| creative | Ring and earring catalog with a $29.00 entry price | Hook library and ad concepts | 1st |
| claims sheet | Offer wording: 25% Off Sitewide, exclusions apply | One approved sheet for every ad | Week 1 |
| creators | 250 variants on Toi et Moi pieces give creators plenty to show | Roster, briefs and pay terms | 2nd |
| landing pages | Free Shipping on US Orders already stated | One page per winning concept | 2nd |
| reporting | Reviews shown: 76,634 on one page | Daily CAC against the $15.84 line | Week 1 |
The order is forced on purpose: creative and creators come first because they are what moves CAC, and everything else waits for that data.
